The city, also known as Silicon Valley of India because of being India’s largest hub of IT firms, has a cosmopolitan culture having people from several parts of the country. It is known for numerous attractions.

Bangalore, now known as Bengaluru, is the capital city of India’s southern state of Karnataka. The city, also known as Silicon Valley of India because of being India’s largest hub of IT firms, has a cosmopolitan culture having people from several parts of the country.

Gardens:

Bengaluru is known as Garden City because of presence of multiple gardens. Lalbagh, spread over 240 acres, is one of the famous gardens having historical importance. botanical

The beautiful garden was commissioned in 1760 by then ruler of Bengaluru, Hyder Ali, and completed by his son Tipu Sultan. After Independence, the Karnataka government took control of the garden.

Now it is under the Director of Horticulture of the Karnataka Government. Having 1,854 species of flora and fauna, Lalbagh is one of the best botanical gardens of the country. It remains open for tourist from 6 am to 7 pm throughout the year.

Palaces:

Bengaluru is a historical city and one can see imprints of various decades in palaces. Bengaluru Palace is located in the middle of city. palace

The construction of the majestic palace started in 1862 and got its final structure in 1944. It was brought by Maharaja of Mysore Chamarajendra Wadiyar X in 1884. Mysore royal family still owns the palace.

Lakes:

Bangaluru has many beautiful lakes. One of the best is Ulsoor Lake, situated in the middle of the city. Spread over 123 acres, the lake has several islands. The major attractions in the lake are the islands and boating.

Nature:

One can explore natural beauty just few kilometres away from Bengaluru. Do not forget to visit Dodda Alada Mara, a 400-year-old mammoth banyan tree covering three acres of land at Kettohalli around 28 km from Bengaluru. vikasa-soudha

Just 25 km from the city is Thottikallu Falls, popularly known as TK Falls.

How to reach Bengaluru:

It is best to take a flight from New Delhi to Bengaluru to save time. Majority of airlines offer flights from New
Delhi to Bengaluru. Aerial distance is 1740 km, train distance is 2367 km.
