1. Tomatoes

Keep them in the fridge and they will lose their flavour in no time. The cold air behind the closed doors will stop the ripening process leaving you with a casket full of mealy tomatoes.

2. Potatoes

When potatoes are kept in a fridge, their starch content rapidly changes into sugar, thus affecting the taste of the vegetables.

3. Onions

The moisture in the refrigerator will be absorbed by onions and they will become a haven for fungal growth.

4. Garlic

Garlic will sprout in a fridge and like onions will soon become rubbery with fungus on them.

5. Bread

Bread dry out faster inside the fridge. So it’s not a good idea to keep them in a refrigerator.

6. Olive oil

Keep olive oil in the fridge and see it condensing to a butter-like substance.

7. Coffee

When we keep coffee inside a fridge, it loses its flavour as it absorbs some of the many odours that are emitted by other edibles inside it.

8. Honey

Honey crystallizes when kept inside a fridge.

9. Bananas

If you keep green bananas inside a fridge, the cold air will pause the ripening process and if you keep ripe bananas in it for too long, the fungus will grow on the fruits due to the moisture in the air.

10. Melons

Antioxidant level of melons is said to be affected when kept in a fridge.
