No matter how workaholic you are – in the office or at home, slow down during pregnancy. This is not a myth but a physical requirement. Your body needs proper rest and those fixed hours of peaceful sleep.

4. Trying not to pay attention to your baby bump

Instead of avoiding it or counting the wrinkles or worry about the increasing fat deposits in your body, talk to your baby inside your “bump” It will strengthen the mother-child bond.

5. Dont skip meals

You might feel too nauseating to eat on a particular day. But instead of skipping meals, which might harm the growth of the baby, go for small meals at regular intervals.

6. Stop exercise

Much unlike doing your office work or household chores, exercise is must during pregnancy if you want to control your stress hormones, boost blood circulation, and prepare your body for labour and delivery. Daily exercises are also helpful for fetal health.

7. Collecting all available data on pregnancy

Today a pregnant woman is well-informed enough to take care of herself, thanks to the internet. But then, excessive information might do more harm than help. The more you read and seek advice from every passer-by, the more confused you will get. Rather, consult your gynecologist to clear all doubts.

8. Going for C-Section

Most women vote for C-Section over normal delivery these days to avoid the pains of labour. But in reality, Caesarean Delivery takes longer recovery time with a painful lower back. Besides, you might face difficulty in breastfeeding your baby as well.

9. Don’t give up chocolates

If you are a chocoholic, don’t stop munching on them while pregnant just because of the caffeine content in them. As per Fitness magazine, chocolate helps in stress management.

According to to a study published in Early Human Development journal, it found if a mother eats a piece of chocolate every day during her pregnancy, she delivers a happier baby than one who has stayed off the dark fantasy. But of course, moderation is the keyword.

10. Not continuing with pills for already existing diseases

Women suffering from diabetes, seizure disorders, or psychiatric illnesses often tend to stop taking pills for their already existing diseases once they get pregnant, fearing deformities in their babies. But this is another myth. You get a healthy baby only if you are in good health.
