Headache is a most common ailment, everyone experiences in life although cause, the duration can vary. There are some homemade remedies that may help you get instant relief.

Here are ten home remedies that may help you to ease the head pain.

Ginger

Ginger is a home remedy for instant relief for migraine pain, according to NDTV website. It helps in reducing the inflammation of blood vessels in the head and hence cures the pain.

Peppermint oil

Peppermint oil helps open up clogged blood vessels which cause a headache. Peppermint oil contains menthol which helps regulate blood flow in the body. Peppermint can be found in any grocery store.

Peppermint oil can be applied gently near the area of headache pain and you will see improvement in the symptoms however children are not recommended to do this.

Willow bark tea

The willow bark tea is also used for curing the headache. It also cures fever and cough. It contains acetic acid, according to a Wikipedia post.

Pressure technique

A point is located on the back of the head, and at the base of your skull. Pressure is applied with the help of the thumb on that particular point for relief.

Gluten-free diet

Some people suffer from headache by eating a diet that contains gluten, a protein found in the grains wheat, barley, and rye.

They see either complete resolution of migraine headaches or a significant reduction in the frequency and strength of symptoms after giving up gluten, according to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.

Lavender oil

Lavender oil is commonly used as a mood stabilizer. Research has shown that people reported improvement after inhaling of lavender oil for fifteen minutes.

Meditation

Meditation is one of the most effective treatments for a headache. Yoga relaxes the body and reduces tension, migraine, stress etc.

We should not drink alcohol, coffee, and smoke tobacco because it is very bad for health and it leads to severe migraine pain or a headache.

We should eat more green vegetables like – spinach, cucumber, different types of leaves are the most effective things which help for easing headache.
