Google improves inbox for faster email search

Product manager Govind Kaushal has stated that information like friend’s new addresses, phone numbers, flight confirmation number are often buried inside larger conversation and Inbox.

Search giant Google has improved its Gmail inbox to provide the users a better search of all the information important to them and save time, according to an official blog post.mail

Product manager Govind Kaushal has stated that information like friend’s new addresses, phone numbers, flight confirmation number are often buried inside larger conversations and inbox.

He has stated that the inbox includes a number of improvements to help users find those answers faster.

When one searches for a frequent flyer number or shipping status , the improved inbox will show it at the top of search results and one does not need to dig through individual emails.

One can get addresses, membership numbers, phone numbers, flights, events, bills, package tracking and more in seconds, says the blog where Google’s Gmail team and friends post updated news, tips and tricks.

While the “Top results” section will show the results by relevance, users can see those below ordered by date.
