The Smartphone lovers are abuzz with excitement as the Micromax subsidiary, Yu Televentures has announced to launch Yunicorn-its flagship phone next Thursday.

The phone will be launched in Delhi where a grand event has been scheduled and invites have been sent out to media by the company.

Although not much is known about the display resolution, screen size, camera, battery capacity and other specifications, reports say the phone may come with a lot of user-friendly features including the fingerprint scanner. It may come with a metal body.

The new phone is expected to be a highly advanced one and Yu must have manufactured it keeping the market demand and overall experience of the users in mind.

You may find Yunicorn running on 5.1 Android Lollipop. The phone is unlikely to have CyanogenOS because a deal signed between Cyanogen and Yu was over, according to media reports.

The phone might be priced below 15,000 rupees, according to GSMArena.com, a website that tracks mobile phones and their features.

According to Rahul Sharma, the founder of Yu, Yunicorn will be the first-of-its-kind phone with Android N update on the release of Google’s new Android version.

You may expect better features in this phone as the Yu developers have put in enormous efforts into Project Highway on which they have been working for the last few months.

A leaked Yu branded device was spotted on performance testing web site Geekbench and reviewers think it may be about Yunicorn phone.

Codenamed Yu5530, it has an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) 1.8GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. The phone may have Full HD display with 1080p resolution.
