Here are 10 tips from BigWire that might help students secure higher marks in the Board exams:

1. Maintain a positive attitude:

This is the most important factor. Because only when you maintain a positive attitude, you will the urge to do well in the CBSE exams. Exam stress can come a big way between you and your results. Be confident about your preparations and simply crack the exams.

2. Be clear about the syllabus:

Nothing beats following regular class lessons and knowing your syllabus clearly. Follow the topic that is being taught in class, clear confusions with the teacher and revise it the same day when you come home while it is still fresh in mind.

3. Try to solve question papers:

Do attempt last 10 years’ question papers as well as solve the questions given at the end of each topic in your textbook. If you are struck, take help of teachers and seniors at home to get it solved that day itself.

4. Have separate notebooks:

It is very helpful during exams if you have separate notebooks for every subject where you will pen down important notes, suggestions and formulae. Later as exams near, you can take that notebook and quickly revise a particular subject.

5. Highlight important portions:

Use a marker and keep highlighting important portions of a topic while you study. It will help you for a quick revise of that particular topic.

6. Make a study schedule:

Plan well and work on a study schedule where you allot enough time to each subject. Keep your most difficult subjects for early mornings or late nights when there will be no distractions. Apply the trick of time management.

7. Revise, revise, revise:

Nothing beats good and repeated revisions. Never read from a new book or something new the night before CBSE exams. Plan a weekly revision for your entire syllabus. Also revise the questions from NCERT books thoroughly.

8. Be healthy:

Eat healthy, get light exercises and enough sleep. Only when you are physically fit, you will energized to concentrate properly in your studies.

9. Know what you are strong and weak at:

Work on your weak points and make the most of your strengths. Take help of teachers and elders at home.

10. Practice writing at a good speed:

You have a lot to write on your answer sheets, make sure you practice writing every day to maintain uniform speed with minimum errors to be able to attempt and complete the whole paper.
