Chinese smartphone company Oppo on Friday (Feb 3) launched its new selfie-focused smartphone – Oppo A57 – in India.

The Oppo A57 smartphone was initially launched in November 2016 but it was available only in China.

Here is everything you need to know about Oppo A57 selfie-focused smartphone:

1. The Oppo A57 comes with a 16MP flagship-level front camera so that you can take detailed selfies and photos even in low light with the help of an exclusively large image sensor.

2. The front camera can also be tuned in to Beautify 4.0 mode that will allow you take HD (high definition) selfies with rich, natural colour tones.

3. Oppo has upgraded its palm shutter function for taking selfies in A57. You just need to open your hand in front of the screen to snap a selfie.

4. The new Android smartphone also has a new bokeh effect that makes your selfies distinct “offsetting the subject of the photo with a blurry background”, says the official website of Oppo.

5. The Oppo A57 also has a 13MP rear camera that uses Sony’s light-sensitive Stacked CMOS sensor and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) technology so that as soon as the phone is taken out you can click a photo instantly.

6. To ensure there is no security breach when it comes to your phone, Oppo has introduced lightning fast biometric sensor in A57. This solid-state fingerprint reader makes the phone unlock with your slightest touch, even when your fingers are moist.

7. The 5.2″ Gorilla Glass 4 protected Oppo A57 comes with a powerful 2900 mAh battery that will last for 11 hours if you are on continuous video watching mode, or 23 hours if you are on phone, or 13.5 hours when you use it continuously for varied purposes.

8. It comes with a huge internal storage capacity of 32GB ROM which is further extendable to 256GB via micro SD card.

9. The Oppo A57 has a 3GB RAM and octa-core 64-bit processor making it a powerful device suitable for multi-tasking.

10. The phone runs on ColorOS 3.0, which is based on Android 6.0 that optimizes power use and at the same time makes browsing faster.

11. The Oppo A57 handset has been priced at Rs 14,990 in India.

12. The phone can be purchased online as well as through offline channels. Online retailers for the phone include Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal.

13. At present the Oppo A57 handset will be available in gold (colour) in India.
