Reliance Jio Prime plans: What you should know

With the deadline of its free services ending on Mar 31, 2017, Reliance Jio has launched ‘Jio Prime Membership’ program that offers an array of low-cost plans for its subscribers.

The telecom brand has been able to get 100 million users in 170 days.

Here is all you need to know about Reliance Jio Prime plans:

1. Users can pay a nominal, one-time fee of Rs 99 and subscribe to ‘Jio Prime Membership’ for a full year.

2. Enrollment to the ‘Jio Prime Membership’ started on Mar 1 and will remain open till Mar 31.

3. Jio Prime Members will continue enjoying the unlimited benefits as they used to get under ‘Jio New Year Offer’ for another 12 months, till Mar 31, 2018 for a introductory price of Rs 303 per month, effectively Rs. 10 per day.

4. Under this tariff plan, Jio Prime Members will be able to get unlimited benefits of free voice (Local, STD, Roaming, to any operator, anywhere in India), data and SMS that they have been currently using till Mar 31, 2018. They can also choose to enhance their benefits at nominal incremental fees.

5. The company says Jio Prime Members will get an entire bouquet of Jio apps worth Rs 10,000 for free till next year 31st March 2018.

6. For enrolling for Jio Prime, users have to recharge with Rs. 99 Jio Prime membership before Mar 31, 2017 from MyJio, JioMoney, Jio.com or nearest retailer. Users can opt for Jio Prime only before Mar 31, 2017.

7. In case of an user not recharging after the validity of his existing recharge is over, he will only be able to receive incoming calls and messages.” If you do not do any recharges in 90 days, your number might get disconnected,” warns the company.

8. If you are Jio Prime Member but has not recharged with any plan, after Mar 31, 2017, the services will stop. However, incoming voice calls and SMS facilities can be availed for some time.

9. Reliance Jio Prime plans start as low as Rs 19 and go up to Rs 9,999.

10. The available tariff plans are same for Jio Prime as wellI non-Jio Prime members but the earlier will get additional benefits compared to the latter.

For example, if a Jio Prime member subscribes to a Rs 19 one-day plan, he gets 200MB data, while a non-Prime user gets 100MB data.

11. Under Rs. 149 Jio Prime Recharge Pack, users will get 2GB 4G data for 28 days, no daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); 100 SMSs free per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

12. The Rs. 303 Jio Prime Recharge Pack offers 28GB 4G data for 28 days, 1GB daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

13. For Jio Prime members, the Rs. 499 Jio Prime Recharge Pack will bring 56GB 4G data for 28 days, 2GB daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

14. Recharging with Rs. 999 Jio Prime Recharge Pack will give subscribers 60GB 4G data for 60 days, no daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

15. The Rs. 1,999 Jio Prime Recharge Pack comes with 125GB 4G data for 90 days, no daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

16. Under the Rs. 4,999 Jio Prime Recharge Pack, subscribers will enjoy 350GB 4G data for 180 days, no daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.

17. The Rs. 9,999 Jio Prime Recharge Pack offers 750GB 4G data for 360 days, no daily FUP limit; Free unlimited voice calls (Local+STD, roaming, to all operators); Unlimited free SMSs per day (Local+STD, on roaming, to all operators); Jio Apps subscription.
