Defence experts brainstorm on Range technologies
Lauding the works of ITR Chandipur, the DRDO chief batted for roping in recent developments in the Range technology and said that the brainstorming session could play a key role in exploring current advancements in Range technology and Range instrumentation.
Bhubaneswar, Aug 7 (BigWire) Different experts from the defence and technology sectors in the last two days brainstormed on several facets of Range technology at the second Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference.
The event was organised virtually between August 5 to August 6 and by the Odisha-based Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur which is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in the state.
It was inaugurated by the Department of Defence Research and Development Secretary and DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy in presence of former and present DRDO Director General (Missiles & Strategic Systems), MSR Prasad and Dr BHVS Narayanmurthy respectively and the Director of ITR Chandipur, H K Ratha. Dr Avinash Chander, Former Scientific Advisor to Raksha Mantri was the Chief Guest of the occasion.

Different experts took part in the event which also saw sharing of 122 selected articles which were selected from around 250 articles submitted for the conference. A number of technical presentations also marked the event which was held in four parallel sessions during the period.
A virtual industrial exhibition was also held which saw more than 25 industries and organisations from India and other parts of the world taking part.
