Ukraine Marks Four Years of War with Commemorative Event in Delhi
The Embassy of Ukraine in India, along with the European Union Delegation to India and Bhutan and the Polish Institute New Delhi, held a commemorative event in the capital marking four years of Russia’s full-scale invasion and twelve years of Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression.
New Delhi, February 26, The Embassy of Ukraine in India, along with the European Union Delegation to India and Bhutan and the Polish Institute New Delhi, held a commemorative event in the capital marking four years of Russia’s full-scale invasion and twelve years of Ukraine’s resistance to Russian aggression.
The event, hosted at Alliance Française de Delhi, began with a minute of silence to honour those who lost their lives defending Ukraine’s sovereignty.
A screening of the documentary Porcelain War highlighted artists in Kharkiv preserving Ukrainian cultural identity amid continued attacks. A curated photo exhibition, The Eyes of War, featured powerful images by Polish photographers documenting the human toll of the conflict.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador H.E. Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk reaffirmed Ukraine’s resolve in the face of ongoing aggression. Dr. Ewa Suwara of the EU Delegation to India and Bhutan reiterated Europe’s steadfast support for Ukraine, while Dr. Piotr Antoni Świtalski of the Embassy of Poland in India underscored Poland’s solidarity.
The evening concluded with a message of unity and resilience, as speakers stressed that Ukraine remains firm in defending its freedom and sovereignty.
