Released across the world including India recently, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a computer hybrid – both a laptop and a tablet – with detachable touch screen display that serves as the touchpad.
What makes the Surface Pro 4 or any other Surface devices stand out is that it has both hardware specifications and software made by Microsoft.
It compares with the Surface Book, which has a slightly bigger display, but is definitely an improvement over Surface Pro 3 in terms of processing capability as well as graphics processing.
It faces competition from Samsung, Acer, Lenovo and many more, both in high range products and also their lightweight versions with lower pricing.
These are the five main features that the Surface Pro 4 has to offer:
1.The starting price of Surface Pro 4 in India is Rs 89,900 (6th gen Core i5 with 4GB and 128GB SSD).
For normal customers, there are three options to choose from the second and the third priced over a lakh of rupees (Core i7 with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD). Likewise, enterprise customers have even more hardware options.
2.It comes with a Surface Pen that can be attached to the side of the computer. The back of the Surface Pen is used for erasing on drawable areas.
3.The tablet comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
4. It has a various connectivity ports including the USB 3.0, microSD reader, audio jacks.
5.Microsoft does not repair the Surface Pro on any damage. Instead, it replaces it.
Having mentioned these, the Surface Pro 3 has also been launched in India and is priced at Rs 73,990.
The price range is certainly justifiable, but these are best suited for use in scientific fields and multimedia.
If you are looking for more general purpose computer then there are many low priced alternatives in the market as well.
