Aishwarya-Randeep biopic Sarbjit creates buzz
The story revolves around the elder sister’s relentless search for her brother as he languishes in a jail in Pakistan for years.
The teaser, trailer and the posters of Sarbjit, a biopic based on the life of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian convicted of spying in Pakistan, have created a huge buzz among people.
Everybody is talking about the refreshing Punjabi number Tung Luk sung by Sunidhi Chouhan and Sukhwinder Singh.
Choreographed on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda, and Richa Chaddha, the song is energetic, peppy and foot tapping.
Well known choreographer Vishnu Deva, who choreographed the song, however, says doing the song was not easy for him. “Sarbjit was a difficult movie to choreograph because it has a hard hitting story,” he said.
However, it turned out well because of Aishwarya and Randeep who have impressed with their charm and energy.
“We’ve tried to give it a fresh look to the song. So far we’ve been receiving a great response and we hope everyone continues to like it,” Vishnu said.
Sarbjit stars Randeep in the eponymous role while Aishwarya plays his elder sister and Richa his wife. The story revolves around the elder sister’s relentless search for her brother as he languishes in a jail in Pakistan for years.
Sarabjit died in the jail in 2013 following a brutal attack on him there in 2013.
Omung Kumar is not new to the biopic. In 2014, he had directed Mary Kom, based on the life of India’s boxing queen M.C. Mary Kom.
The film starring Priyanka Chopra was a big hit at the box office.
Sarbjit too promises to be a power packed affair with Aishwarya, Randeep and Richa giving their best shots.
Produced by Pooja Entertainment and Films Limited, T-Series and Legend Studios Private Limited, Sarbjit is set to be released on May 20.
